A pin actually. > >You might turn this into a whole design element with your upper corner >anchor being a close-up picture of the crest on a shoulder. It could fade >down into the menu gracefully enough. Not a bad idea. The regimental crest is a pin over the right breast on the uniform or in the shield on the beret. The Washington Artillery is the only unit I know that uses a different crest from the parent unit. Part of that is because of the distinguished history of the unit, but much of it is that we had some extremely well placed advocates in Washington DC in the early 70s when the heraldry was being reconsidered for all National guard units. I am thinking of moving the crest to below the menu and stretching the organization name across the top of the content area. I can make it take lest verticle real estate that way and the crest will no longer govern the height of the title section. > >This would humanize the design to great extent as well. > >Jim Davis ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:165313 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
