And that has nothing to do with the American legal system.  Do you have an
example of this in the European legal system?  Perhaps we should look to the
Taliban as an example?

Think European football rules vs. American football rules.

In european football the rule book is a few pages and referees can
hold up and card against a player which essentially says, "you did
something that seems wrong, I don't like it, and you've been warned."

The point is that I expect more from the President .  I expect him to
make decisions based on right and wrong vs. legal and illegal.  This
President who promised he would, isn't.
