My primary focus is content, not revenue. I'd like some, but.... The main reason I'm looking at the ad bar in the middle is that it gives me an entire right hand 'shout out' section to put tips, news and other material. This would actually add more information to a page, not less. As for the ads by google on top, these are link categories of ads. I'd love to remove the ads by google message if I could. I'll be playing with it more, but the main thing I was wondering was if the content layed out properly. Currently, each message in a thread has its own table for layout due to tabbing and other considerations. I've replaced this with a modified code box in the example page and it looks good to me. I'd like to hear what others with other browsers see. If everyone sees the content layed out properly then I'll impliment it. It saves a LOT of space.
Also, do you like the new search box on top? > The most important thing you should consider is what is your primary > motivation for the site: A resource of information, or to generate > revenue. > > Techniques like you've done putting the ads in the way of the content > definitely makes the ads more likely to be read.
