To a certain degree, that's the point.  You get not only display
changes, but can change what keys do (I think).  I know that applies to
the buttons on the left-hand side (usually showing apps in the photos),
and would assume it applies to all the keys.

Just so you know, the designers say this will be out within a year, and
will be in the $300-400 range.
