I'm all for sticking the gitmo crew into the American penal system, a few 
months in Attica, Folsom, or the Colorado Supermax and the problem would take 
care of itself.

Good point.  It's part of my problem with GitMo.  I understand the
argument either way, but maybe here's a solution:  Define the "war on
terror".

That way you can say that this guy was a soldier of the terrorists and
therefore criminal procedures don't apply.  Now the challenge moves
from his treatment to his disposition which, for this guy, would be
easy to prove.

That's my problem with Mr. Bush's policy: he's not doing anything to
define the war on terror and, eventually, people will get fed up with
the ambiguity.  I already am.

He should get a bunch smart legal dudes together to field a proposal.

But, back to your point, pinning them down and unloading a clip into
their brain stem does avoid that hassle.
