given the years of being short changed, by NASA, congress and the presidency - budget processes in other words, its amazing that there has been so few accidents.
Ironic though in theearly 80's the Office of Technology Assessement (btw that was later closed down by the Gingrich congress), did a study on NASA's impact on the US.
