I didn't realize that there were so many people from around and
familiar with the Buffalo/Niagara area or at least know the area.
Small world... With that being the case.

Considering I work literally 10 minutes from the American side of the
falls and live about 20 miles away. Take this for what its worth.

The Canadian side of the falls is very touristy (is that even a
word??). Its nice to visit. The varity of different Canadian Ballets
is also nice..

The American side IMHO stinks.. Sometimes literally. Niagara falls, US
is filled with run down buildings and houses. It looks like it hasn't
been taken care of in years. Recently they got an Indian run casino
and they are SLOWLY fixing up things. Right now the Casino is trying
to buy (or just bought) the run down water park and will fix that up.
Niagara falls NY is filled with garbage dumps, chemical plants and
electricity. Niagara falls NY was very industrial before it was run
down which may explain why it is the way it is now.

Remember "Aqua Falls". People from around here will understand the
joke. Basically in a nutshell. Lots of promise on the US side but
little action. They have a long way to go. IF your visiting, hit the
Ontario side and visit there. Then come back over and hit the park
near the US side.
