I guess I was wrong in my understanding of the word. Here's the definition
from Webster.com:

the quality or state of being free:
a : the power to do as one pleases
b : freedom from physical restraint
c : freedom from arbitrary or despotic control
d : the positive enjoyment of various social, political, or economic rights
and privileges
e : the power of choice

I was meaning only a and b. I didn't think liberty encompassed c,d and e.
My apologies for the misunderstanding, but I still maintain my opinion.

BTW, who here has been in the military? My list is:

Myself (Matthew Small) (Marine Corps)
Tim (Loathe) (Army, NG)
Larry Lyons (Canadian Military - I'm not sure that counts ;-))
Ken Ketsdever -(Marine Corps (I think))

Anyone else?

Matthew Small
