I couldn't agree more. The show is a wonderful new installment to the
series, and carries on the old themes very well. It does NOT take
itself too seriously and is not afraid to laugh at itself. On the
other hand, we finally see what I consider to be a very fleshed out
companion. I don't remember a lot about the old series, but I don't
think they ever focused as much on the companions, and what happens to
their family left behind.

The whole "Bad Wolf" thing... w/o revealing any spoilers - was awesome.

The finale - and what the boss bad guy said to the Doctor - amazing.
You just don't get intelligent TV like that over here (except for
Lost).
