Oh yeah,

You have no idea the drama I got from the Dodge dealer when I started to
mod my car. All I added was a short throw shifter, and turbo blow off
valve and waste gate actuator, and I did some work to the electrical system.

Before and after this I was getting codes for a cylinder 3 misfire all
the time. I had brought the car in several times for the same problem
(within weeks of buying the car) but after I added the mods they said
they wouldn't warranty the work. Thankfully we have some protection.
There is a federal law that says a company cannot invalidate your
warranty just for adding performance parts. They have to prove that the
parts you added are directly responsible for the problem.

I went back and forth with them, even filing a lemon law claim in
Virginia, and was about a day from returning the car when Dodge released
a tech note that some of the injector grounds were bad and if you were
having misfires to change it out. Pretty funny really, and I was happy
because the service manager ended up getting fired over it.

Now I only go to that dealer for the free oil changes and services that
were included in the purchase. Their is another dealer not too far that
actually mods their cars as selling points, and is much more friendly to
owners when it comes to warranty issues.
