The Kite Runner - fabulous book, even better audio book. I would sit in my car outside of my destination for a long time before I could bring myself to go in! It's about a boy growing up in Afghanistan, and the author reads it, pronouncing all the words and names properly, and tells a compelling story. A must-listen!
I also enjoyed these a *lot* (not all in genres I normally read) Oryx and Crake - Margaret Atwood The Legend of the Otori series - 3 books, all excellent listens Angela's Ashes - read by the author in an irish brogue. Great! Ender's Game I also listen to the radio show (counts as one subscription) - This American Life. It's a fantastic show that consistently has interesting topics and unique stories. -R Tony Weeg wrote: > hi there. > > so, on the topic of summer reading, and reading in general > now that ive got my iPOD i can download and listen to Audiobooks > from (www.audible.com) and other sites... any recommendations > for a guy who hasnt READ a book since 8th grade? > > I dont know where to start.
