Basically Macromedia conceded the CF conference to CFUNITED this year. From what I heard at the CFUNITED Keynote MAX is for introducing users of their other products to ColdFusion as well as being a platform to present their other products. For high end CF Development, CFUNITED is now the conference to go to.
