Well, you're getting your sections mixed up a bit. 435 does a big circle, and intersects near Blue Springs up north, and intersects near Lee's Summit in the SOUTH.
You are probably talking about the Grandview Triangle, the southern meeting of 435, 470, and 71 highway. They've begun an ambitious 10 year project to completely revamp that triangle. Its going along nicely.
