I kind of see your point. It makes me wonder what the dividing line is that separates porn from artful nudity or something similar. Would dirty stories be considered porn? I wonder who's going to do the deciding.

I mean - what would constitute 'pornography' ? Who would decide the parameters of a 'pornographic website' For instance: "ICM Registry has proposed that it would handle the technical aspects of running the master database of .xxx sex sites. A second, nonprofit organization called the International Foundation for Online Responsibility would be in charge of setting the rules for .xxx .... " and ".xxx was necessary to force adult Webmasters to 'abide by the same standard as the proprietor of an X-rated movie theater.' " Uh, yeah, suuuure... I want internet content to be policed just about as much as I want a hole in the head. I think pushing back on the .xxx tld is a good idea. Besides, parents should be the once responsible for controling what their kids see on the internet - not the gov or ICANN. But that's just my .02 cents. -Erik Robert Munn wrote: >OK, Internet professionals, it's time to close ranks around ICANN.
