I think they would over time... but I'd expect it to take at least a
decade before they started to really see the benefit... we have to let
the internet thing sink in with the general public to the point that
the average person when you say ".cc" to them doesn't say "what?"
(probably about the same time most people stop referring to IE as
"E-Explorer")... Once that happens, then I think people will start to
see the benefit in having domain names that aren't in the .com tld.
