yeah, I have to admit it was fun, but it's not for every day. There's
not much else to do in the hospital anyway, lol, except try to ignore
your roommates television. The thing I was the most grateful for
wasn't the painkillers, it was the earplugs one of the nurses found
for me.

Not sure how their guidelines go, by the way, but several times I had
nurses tell me, nope, it's too soon for more percoset, but you can
have oxycodone if you want....wierd. Something about different
chemistries of the drugs I guess. Right now (two and a half weeks
post-surgery) I still carry some around with me in case I get one of
those massive pain-bolts, but I try not to take any in the interests
of public safety, since I am driving.

I guess what I was thinking was that I could see how in a case of
chronic pain, someone could become dependent. But then there is always
switching to a different type for a while, or... something... 30 a
day, wow, you need massive denial to get to that point before you
realize you have a problem. Especially when you are ragging on other
people who have the same problem, I mean, what does it take to not see
the parallel?
