Has anyone used the CFCOMPILE option to deploy on a client's machine and had
issues with legal ownership of the written source?

Example. A client pays for the developer to make an application, the developer
creates the application, and then delivers a compiled version of the
application to the client. Are there any legal ramifications on who owns the
rights to the original source code? Does it have to be stated in the contract.

If a client decides to not pay, or is a major ass about a whole situation,
what would happen if they were given a compiled version of the working
application? Does this open up legal problems as they would not having the
code to work from after they've paid for the development? What if the contract
didn't state it one way or another?

This may have been asked already, so I don't want to revisit something already
passed through the list....I just couldn't find a similar question....

Matt
