The Apple remote wall-wart/plug/thingy is controlled from a stationary computer running iTunes anywhere on the network, but I think the main point of the media gateways is just to provide an interface to your files located elsewhere, all thin-client like. So you plug 'em into your TV, monitor, or stereo and it gives you access to your media files.
I looked long and hard for a all-in-one unit and the only two products that came remotely close are the AVEL and the Buffalo HD players. I ended up grabbing a two year old $400 Dell Dimension from my Mom when the hard-drive failed a month after the mobo went down. And it plays everything ;-) Tyler On 8/18/05, Aaron Rouse <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Can any of these networked media players be controled from any computer on > the home network?
