So I've noticed something odd. When I find a link to my blog on google, the title is correct, but the text below the title is the contents of my DESCRIPTION meta tag. For other sites, the text is a snippet from the page.
Now - I went to a few pages, and it seems like those pages weren't using a description metatag. I've also noticed that blogs that use this tag do NOT change per entry. They use it to describe the blog as a whole. But it seems like I'm getting screwed, since a person may look at the text, see something generic, and not click on my site. Does that make sense? To see an example of this, google for: untold legends review and my blog will be on the second page. Note how the description is misleading. -- ======================================================================= Raymond Camden, Director of Development for Mindseye, Inc (www.mindseye.com) Member of Team Macromedia (http://www.macromedia.com/go/teammacromedia) Email : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Blog : ray.camdenfamily.com Yahoo IM : cfjedimaster "My ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is." - Yoda ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:170288 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
