I did one for an insurance agency. It was in a proprietary system, the name was in one field (first last and middle) the address was in one field (address street city state zip, multiple addresses could be in the one field) Phone numbers were in one field (including area code and all phones, home office etc in the same field) To top it off there was no consistency in the way the data was input. Sometimes it was first last middle, other times last first middle etc...
Many days of pouring through data trying to clean it up so we could do something with it.
