Several would disagree with you, as they believe that America has an unbiased Free Press, and there ain't nothing wrong with it. ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CBS..ain't nothing wrong with them putting their own spin on the story, inventing news or even collectively choosing to not report things because it doesn't fit a corporate or other prejudice of the owners.
I clearly see how this becomes a problem, but others see it as just capitalism at work. Either way, if the dumbing down of news sources and control of the press heralds the end of the world, then it's been dying for a while. I prefer News Reporting. Without the opinions of the reporter or the organisation, but where can you find that these days?
