It was the Kennedy administration's fault for taking the US to the moon and winning the space race, not to mention the technology race, by drawing a line in the sand. Something Mr. Bush did that both thrilled and disappointed me was his push for a manned mission to mars. Great idea, but horrible timing. While I'd love to see something like this he should've drawn a few other lines: 1.) No more pork for non-strategic projects. What are strategic projects? They are: 2.) Bacterial and viral epidemic readiness. 3.) Border security. 4.) Top of the line, leading edge cell phone networks. 5.) Nation-wide wireless internet similar to the rural electrical and phone push. 6.) All manner of technology incentives such as presidential awards, etc. 7.) Alternative fuel incentives for workable alternative fuels. 8.) Nation-wide underground pellet-bed superconducting electrical grid. 9.) Enforcement of research grant policies. 10.) Cure cancer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:170997 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
