I like the B&W theme on the opening page. I think you could emphasize the "photo" look by putting the picture "corners" that you would see on the four corners of a picture in an old photo album.
To me, the script font is very hard to read. I don't mind a script font, but find one that is a bit easier to read. In IE6 WinXP, on the "About" page, there are no scroll bars. The site was very, very slow for me, as if it were running on a 486. Overall, the design of the site is very attractive.
