ROCK'N'ROLL pioneer Fats Domino was reported missing overnight, as a result of Hurricane Katrina, his longtime agent, Al Embry said. Embry said he hadn't been able to contact Domino since talking to him on the telephone last weekend. The 77-year-old singing legend, whose real name is Antoine Domino, said that he planned to stay at his New Orleans house with his wife, Rosemary, and their daughter. "I hope somebody turns him up, but as of right now, we haven't got anybody that knows where he's at," said Mr Embry, who has worked with Domino for 28 years. "I would think he might be safe because somebody said he was on top of the balcony." Domino, who has rarely appeared in public in recent years, has a home in the 9th ward, a low-lying area of the flooded city. His 1950 recording of The Fat Man is sometimes called the first real rock 'n' roll record. He was among the first honourees to the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame. New Orleans police could not confirm if Domino was missing, nor if any official search had been made. http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,16466184-2,00.html -- He don't understand that sometimes a man Has got to fight for what he believes - Steve Earle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:172110 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
