Yeah I agree.  It's good that he's taking responsibility, and it's
better than his normal deny-the-obvious-promote-the-incompetent
strategy, but it raises 2 questions:

1.) Why didn't express as much outrage as the rest of us then?  Why
did he pat Brownie on the back and compliment him?  Is he just
realizing now that there were problems?

2.) If he did realize then, why didn't he take responsibility in
action immediately?
