I don't see it that way. I think the world would cry out if Jews destroyed a mosque, because we expect them to behave better than that. If possible. Just as we would if Jews destroyed a church, or a temple or a synagogue. Or if Isrealis destoyed a mosque, or if Christians destroyed a mosque. Or when Hindus destroyed a mosque (India). Or when Muslims destoyed a church (Sudan)
Just like the Americans were rightly criticized for shooting INTO the mosque in Fallujah. They had to do it (IMHO), but we need to be aware of the seriousness of the act. But the lack of respect for their own institutions (by storing arms and exposives and sniping from the minarettes) was really on the insurgents. But NO ONE expects the Palestinians to act like civilized people. No matter how much the world makes mouth noises to the contrary, the Palestinians are not expected to be other than the unthinking, brutal killers they show themselves to be (as a society, not as individuals, many of whom hate the violence as much as I do). Do you think anyone (even the other Arab countries) thought the Palestinians were going to behave in a way that was not disgusting and base? For me, it always comes back to Munich 1972. Until the Palestinian society makes a true break from the thugs in their midst by turning their backs on the violence and terrorists, then they must carry the shame and consequences of the association.
