no, not really. The toddler is unquestionably alive. If a cluster of twelve
cells is considered life merely because it is implanted in my uterus what
about all the unfertilised ova in my ovaries, don't I have a responsibility
to them too? be careful of slippery slope arguments because they can go in
more than one direction.

Let's take this another step further - would it be ok to kill a child up to
3 years old if you didn't want it anymore? I think your answer would be
"No". This is an extreme case, but it differs only by degree from abortion.
