A wage that is not paid due to market forces in not earned and
businesses are not paying the wage voluntarily, they are being forced
to by the government. Why? To avoid poverty, which is an enterprise:

en·ter·prise Pronunciation Key (ntr-prz) n.
1. An undertaking, especially one of some scope, complication, and risk.

Minimum wage is, therefore, a government provided subsidy, and just
like welfare, it's a dead end corruption to those that get it. It is
a policy that discourages skills acquisition because it rewards the
failed status quo, "do nothing, and don't worry, we'll force your
employer pay you for it."

If you were concerned about the well-being of those people you'd favor
a policy that taught them how to earn their pay and self-respect
rather than accept charity with a hat in hand. Instead you'd like to
keep them dumb and therefore keep them down.

So if you're looking for a good argument against MW that's it.
