Nah, You're not weird. They weren't really major events for us, either. I think it went like this: Aaron: "So, if we got married, would you ask L to move out?" Me: "Yah, I guess so." ......pause..... Me: "Wait, was that a proposal?" Aaron: "Yah, I think it was...." Me: "Hm....well, I guess I'll have to figure out how to ask L to move out, then, eh?"
We later shopped for a ring and got a plain white gold band at Sears. But, later, we were looking for Aaron's ring and couldnt' find anything we liked, but the band fit his finger too - so he got the original band and I got a set of pawn shop art deco antique rings (which cost about the same as the plain band). (Later, Aaron gave me a fortune cookie with a "Will you still marry me?" fortune in it, though. Which was sweet I thought.)
