I wasn't particularly interested in reading till my 3rd grade teacher,
Mrs Windam, started reading "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" to
us in class during downtime. I was totally fascinated by the story
and it really got me into reading. She had such an impact on my life
that she's always the teacher that instantly pops into my head when
someone asks if I ever had a favorite teacher. I invited her to my
Eagle Scout ceremony and my High School graduation. I think I just
sent her a College graduation announcement since the College wasn't
very closeby...

After College I went back to visit her at the elementary school and
she introduced me to her class as a former student. She was teaching
1st grade at the time and they didn't belive that she could have ever
taught someone as old as me.

It's important to let people know what an impact they've had in your life.
