Did I just say that you had to get a permit first? Sorry.... The way I read it, it sounded like the permit was for the National Park system not the National Forests. One may not due for the other, even though one may be able to get both types of permits at one location.
The National Parks and National Forests are completely different government agencies reporting to different cabinet positions.
