Last year I was fighting my old carpet, trying to get it removed, and
it decided to cough up a chunk glass that ended up half way through my
foot.

I pulled the glass out and looked into the cut then knew I needed to
get prompt medical attention. I wrapped my foot in a dish towel and
drove to the Urgent Care arriving at about 5:45pm.

The door was locked so I pounded on it and this lady tells me they
don't open until 6. I said my foot was bleeding bad and she said,
"oh, ok. Well, we open at six." So I stood there bleeding all over
their entry way.

As a cool foot note, I had just began pulling up the carpet so the
rest of the house was still carpeted. After the cut I had to get
around to get keys, etc. and I figured what the heck, I was ripping
out the carpet anyway. So there was huge blood stains all over our
house.

Every visitor to our house until the carpet was replaced would walk in
and then, slowly, this look of terror would descend over them. It got
to the point where I was going to film it. Neighbors and little kids
were the best.
