Well I can't speak for Michael (today is his holy day I think), but a blog is different from a forum (of course, you know that). I think a forum is better for random, but directed conversation and a blog is better for .. .well, not sure how to describe it - but it's more directed than a forum. It's like a forum where the INIITIAL thread is begun by the authors. So there is more direction.
Anyway, I'm guessing that is what Michael wants.
