That develops as their weight increases. It also has to do with genetics.
The breed standard doesn't frown upon the bowed legs but it does and strain
to their already stressed joints. The bow leggedness tends to come out in
bulldogs that gain weight too quick. We walk Herbie a lot and keep him
moving so we hope that he gets the slight bow to go with the standard "look"
without stressing his joints too much.
