I hear that CFMX 7 now has a 1-2 CPU license as standard and additional CPUs cost more money whereas older versions of CFMX were licensed per server. Is it just me or does per-CPU licensing seem like a complete ripoff? To me there is a big difference between running software on more than one box and running it on one box with multiple CPUs.
Not to rag on Macromedia in particular because I know that there are several software products licensed this way (MS SQL Server, BlueDragon, etc.) Howie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:177314 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
