Too true. Classic on so many levels it truly hurts.

It's odd but most of favorite shows have poor (or no) endings.

My favorite show of all time is "Deep Space Nine" but its ending was just
fine... nothing at all special in the long run. Same for all the "Star
Trek" series, really ("Voyager" probably had the best ending but that's not
saying a whole heck of a lot). "The X-Files" just withered away.

It's like these shows knew how to tell stories but just had no idea how to
tell the last story.

I was actually pretty impressed overall with the sheer scope of the "Babylon
5" ending within its plot arc. "Six Feet Under" did end very, very well.
"MST3K" had a wonderful little ending as well... and it was right on the bus
line! ;^)

But on the end most of my favorites just didn't get the chance. "Dead Like
Me", "Futurama", "Firefly", "Space: Above and Beyond", "Carnivale", "Strange
Luck", and many more just didn't get a chance to "end". Although I must
admit that the last episode of "Dead Like Me" was a fitting one if not a
satisfying one.
