I don't think they learn otherwise in public school. I think very little of value gets learned in (most) public schools. But when they graduate and find out that their best friend on the college football team is gay -- for example -- then they will learn otherwise. My point is that when a culture contains poisonous beliefs, some of the learning environments in that culture will be contaminated by them. Whether they are schools or home schools. These children will learn otherwise once they are in a position to actually talk to a black person, and so will the public school children in their community, who are likely to have picked up similar beliefs if this is an area where such beliefs are tolerated. I don't know why I am even bothering to refute Larry's prejudices. I should just ask him to produce a peer-reviewed study that supports his contention that this fmily is in any way representative.
