Yup - I went to the 12". It depends on what you want - if your laptop
will be sitting on a desk, maybe, but I'd still get the 12" power book
and maybe a 19" cinema display. That way you get the big screen when
you want it and portability when you need it.

For me, I've got a 12" iBook and will probably upgrade to the
Powerbook when the time is right, but I'll never buy larger than the
12. The portability is just WAY too handy. Even the 15s are bulky by
comparison. Very often I'll sit down at a coffee joint and I'll need
to look up something. I whip out the laptop and my companion will
say:

"Where the heck did you get that from?"
"I brought it with me."
"Really? I didn't even see you carrying it!"

I've got a little 12" sleeve for it with a shoulder stap or it easily
fits into any slimline brief bag. 99% of the time people say, "Jeez,
that's handy. I've got to get one of those."

The downside to the iBooks is a few things like no ability to mirror
display. Right now I don't need it, but it would've been handy.

Anyway, my Mac future is a 12" Powerbook with a cinema display for a desk.

BTW - the 17" sucks for the airplane unless you're sitting in 1st.
It's way too wide for economy class seats. The 12" is fine everywhere
and plenty big to watch a movie on.
