As for the mini, get an iSkin or other sort of protective cover for it. Not being the most agile person around, I managed to dent one corner 4 days after I got it.
But the belkin transmitter is/was a life saver. We drove to relatives in Tennessee recently with the thing playing all the way. It definately saves your sanity on long trips.
