As much as I like iTunes, I wholeheartedly agree. It sort of made sense to
install QuickTime when installing iTunes because QuickTime contains the
actual media playing code. Heck, there's so much code in QuickTime that they
could practically port the entire OS by just requiring QuickTime. But to go
the other way and require iTunes to be installed with QuickTime is just
nuts. (At least it makes more sense though than the Yahoo toolbar installed
with Flash Player.)

Fortunately though, and this is one of my HUGE gripes with WMP. With
QuickTime/iTunes, if I'm listening to something on iTunes and someone sends
me a link to a quicktime vid, it's not going to screw up my music playback.
They'll just play simultaneously.

As for email address, I've always been able to just ignore that and just
download anyway.
