I used them since they came out... but two of them broke on me. I also really hated the analog sticks and the wired dongle (especially with two controllers plugged in - the second generation dongle is only slightly larger than a memory card). But you're right - despite their flaws even the first generation was really quite good - Logitech just doesn't (generally) make bad stuff.
