Google Maps has steered me wrong a couple of times also. Most recently they were totally outta wack at the end of a 8 hour drive from San Diego to Santa Cruz. Luckily I was able to find my way to the right road via street signs, but I shoulda had a map with me.
I find it best to make sure I print out a closeup of my destination or any parts of the trip that might confuse me. That way if the directions are screwy or I get off course I can just fall back to the map and forget about the directions Also, after a recent trip to Chicago, I've decided to print out directions/map to my hotel from the airport too, even if I'm taking a cab. I hate trying to talk to a cabbie about where I want to go in a strange town when he doesn't speak any english. -Cameron On 11/3/05, Paul Ihrig <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > so i had an interview at 4:30 with ts24.om <http://ts24.om> > left work early. > get there a 1/2 hour early.... > > i cant find the place. > stop and ask directions 3 times... > > i get frustrated. > hop on the highway. > > finally figure out i can use 411 on my cell. > get biz #, call apologize. > > now i have a crappy technical phone interview in a week... > > just wish i could stay calm, instead of freaking out when not in control.... > time to play some quake 4... > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:179696 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
