I have a Hotmail account that I keep around for filling in forms online. I have the filter set to very aggressive spam filtering. I still get spam coming through, but it isn't bad, and it is an old email address that I keep in case someone I haven't seen in awhile tries to contact me.
For HoF and other forums/mailing lists, I have a mail account specifically for being on these lists. I don't actually get any mail, I just read the archives, and I assume that everything and anything in that box is spam.
