Well... it will be 7 weeks since I injured my shoulder... Finally see a surgeon (actually a physician's assistant). Looks at my shoulder and then my biceps. He spend 99% of his time looking at my bicep, and says I have a deep muscle bruise in my bicep. Never mind the pain in my shoulder. Gives me more medication. Asked if he thought something was torn, he said no. My primary care physician, the physical therapist, and different orthopedic say torn rotator cuff. PCP puts in a request for a MRI. Of course, that got denied in a heartbeat. So.. 3 medical professionals say something is torn, 1 says no. It looks like this will be decided by the best 4 out of 7 diagnosis. Still, no MRI. I have filed an appeal with the insurance company. So here I sit.. in pain, unable to get a good night's sleep. Best of all, going on vacation next week on a cruise. I am sure I am going to be happy on my vacation...LOL HMOs... they suck!
