Well... maybe not "luck", but wish me something!
I've been more of a casual reader of Superman for a long time time now...
when my son was born I lost track of a lot of books and have never really
been able to get back on the rails with Supes.
I never stopped my subs however and they've been piling up.
I've decided instead of trying to figure out when I lost it I would start at
the beginning (at least at the beginning I own). I've got every issue of
every Superman title (and the vast majority of the mini-series, one shots
and related books) issued since 1990 - and I'm gonna read them all (well...
not in one sitting, but you understand what I mean).
I know that some of you probably have collections that go back further but
still, 15 years of multiple titles is a lot of pulp!
I'm either going to finally catch up with them or cancel my subs and sell
the lot.
Now I've just gotta figure out which order to read them in... damn I wish
they would have kept the diamond numbers.
If I get the gumption I might start a blog about it... there's a lot of
history in these books. The ads in them, the products being hawked ("own a
genuine piece of petrified wood for only $2.00!") and so forth.
The product of the day was Nintendo: Action Comics #650 has no less than
four full-page ads for various NES games and accessories.
