while I can understand this -- and I don't bother with tv or my local rag any more -- I still check the web to see what is going on. Not even looking seems like a kind of abdication. Surely public opinion counts for something, we got Brownie out of office at least. If enough people stop playing see no evil hear no evil there may still be a chance to at least mitigate the harm.
It's like what I said about the last election. I at least tried. If I had made no effort to influence the outcome I would really be beating myself up now. As it is I am cynical, I question the integrity of the system, but I know that I personally at least tried. That's my take on this at least.
