It really wasn't good.

I never read the comic (I'm a DC kinda guy)... but I know that they screwed
around with quite a bit of the story - and not in a good way.

The characters were unlikable and annoying and the story was shaky at best
and downright stupid at worst. The whole movie seemed plain melancholy...
not one shred of the emotional punch the "Spiderman" or "X-Men" movies had.
None of the fun or amazement or depth.

Why did Sue have to "go invisible" to get by the firemen when it seems Reed
and Johnny just walked by them? Apparently so we could see Jessica Alba in
her underwear for an instant.

And what the hell was up with the ending for The Thing? Reed can, but Ben
won't? What the hell? (See, no spoiler!)

So far I gotta say that Marvel is still hit or miss with their movie
properties. I think both DC and Dark Horse have better records of bringing
their characters to the screen. Heck, even "Steel" and "Dr. Giggles" were
better than this.

All told a very disappointing film and not worth these classic characters.
