So why did we change slavery, women's voting rights, or civil rights? The same reason: persecution of the minority by the majority. Whenever you deny somebody a right other's have, you are persecuting them. Banning Gay Marriage is simply immoral. A constitutional amendment against Gay Marriage is, in fact, about the most cowardly, childish, vindictive act of denial there is. It essentially says, "even though we know you will live together as married couples anyway, we will deny you equal rights because we don't like it." There's no difference between saying, "because you are black you are less equal than me" and "because you are Gay you are less equal than me." I've heard all of ridiculous excuses for this discrimination like, "what's next? Man marries child? Man marries horse?" Of course the difference there is that children and horses are not adults of sound mind, so that is a specious argument. This Ban is a coward's act of denial. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:180532 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
