Heh just my personal feelings that its a lower browser. It mostly was all those retarded Firefox zealots who scream that its bringing new life to earth and such. It's medocre at best i guess people who jump from IE to firefox think it is the best thing since sliced bread. But I've used every browser i have ever been able to find just to see what i think. My fav is lynx and then opera.
Yea some design issues with opera are not the same elsewhere but they try to be the stricest possible when it comes to HTML/XML rules. There are a few things with Xmlhttprequest that need to be worked on but functionally shes the best out there at least for me. If something doesnt look right in opera i take that as a sign i need to rework it. Just because it looks ok in other browsers doesn't mean i'm being compliant. Hehe yea definately pass that by me it's stinky :P On 11/11/05, Tony <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > there is not one single metric that you can conjure up to prove > firefox is any step lower than any browser out there. > > id take ie over opera. > > but really, lets knot start another tangled mess of a thread about nothing > > its friday. > > PUFF PUFF PASS y'all > > tw > > On 11/11/05, Bill Wheatley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I never had an ad problem since i always paid for good software :) > > But 8.5 is ad-free from here on out. > > > > They realized even a superior product will be passed up if people can > > get something a few steps lower down the ladder for free. > > > > On 11/11/05, Tony <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Ads. > > > forms and things like that didnt port from my designs that work in ie/ff > > > it seemed even more "one-off" than firefox ever did. > > > Ads. > > > > > > things just didnt look like they normally do in firefox/ie. > > > > > > just odd. > > > > > > tw > > > > > > On 11/11/05, Bill Wheatley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > What specifically didn't you like about it? > > > > > > > > I gave firefox a fair chance since its hard for anyone to change their > > > > habits.
