You can use Walmart, Musicmatch, rhapsody, iTunes Music Store, Napster, etc.

The trick is to take the DRMed files you downloaded from the record
store and burn them to a cd, then rip that CD into DRM-free mp3 files.

The extra step is worth the effor, cause no one wants DRM on their iPod.
